My name is Elizabeth, although since I was a kid, everyone has called me Patsy (because my full name is Elizabeth Helen Patricia and it's short for Patricia).
I live in Auckland, New Zealand and I have two great kids, well, grownups, my daughter Santha, and my son Chris.
I have a black cat called Indy, who is a black Siamese cross, he is very cool and run the house most of the time, as cats do! and we also have Kirby, she is a very cute, though incredibly energetic, fox terrier, a proper bossy pooch.
I work in a primary school as a network administrator and computer technician, supporting the students, teachers and office staff with their servers, computers, laptops, ActivPanels, Chromebooks and iPads and anything else they think I should be fixing.
It's an interesting job and I enjoy the challenge of keeping everything working for everyone.
I have always loved every aspect of computing. Repairing the hardware, installing and troubleshooting software. I especially love coding web pages, and I recently completed a course at the Open Polytech to earn a certificate in Web Design. I learned a lot but still have heaps more to learn as it is such a broad area.
I want to learn everything I can about it as I like the creativity aspect of making pages, and every day I am trying to learn at least one more new thing.
I currently maintain the school website and intranet so that gives me lots of coding practise, with the school information needing to be updated often.
My favourite colour is blue, and I enjoy spending time with my family, we get on really well, even though they are grown up and have their own interests, we spend time together whenever we can. I also enjoy creating my own graphics and banners etc, and I mainly use Paint Shop Pro for this, although I would love to learn Photoshop one day.
I'm into online gaming and my favourite game used to be Star Wars Galaxies, until it was shut down. It was an online multiplayer game based around the Star Wars universe and it was a fantastic game. I have always been a major fan of Star Wars since the movies came out and this was quite an immersive Star Wars experience and community.
Although the original Star wars Galaxies is no longer around, there are several SWG emulator servers which fans are running to keep the game alive for those interested in the era of the game before it was enhanced with upgrades.
The one I play is the SWGEmu and it is fun to run around in the Star Wars world that we all know and love.
I currently play Everquest 2, but also Star Wars: The Old Republic, World of Warcraft, Second Life, The Secret World, The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim, and Conan Exiles to name just a few, these are the other games I enjoy.
